Part 1: The Profile
Name: Airborne Magic
Species: Gray Wolf
Age: 2 1/2 years young
Gender: Female
Pack: Cedar Mountain Pack
Physical Appearance: Airborne Magic's coat is a slate gray on top getting lighter until it reaches her belly which is a pale cream color. Near her chest it is a reddish tinge reminding all of her sad Red Wolf heritage. Her eyes are a bright, golden yellow. One remains clouded and blind from her life as a pup. A radio collar is around her neck so the park rangers can track her. She is a very large wolf for a female...about the size of a small male. Her muscles show but her teeth are worn. Towards the back some are rotten or missing. She has a hard time fighting because of this. Her combat skills need a bit of polishing and it shows but she is willing to work for it. She loves to hunt as she is a sleek and swift wolf.
Short Description: Sleek, Bold, Kind, Fair, Brave, Quiet, Fun Loving
Personality: Airborne Magic is a kind and gentle wolf. But don't be fooled by the vibes pouring out of her...she'll fight for her friends, her pack and for those who are in need. Most have learned not to argue with her. She'll mother those who need her until they can live without her. Then she'll go to the next one wolf in need. Day and night pups and young adolescents bustle in and out of her den. She has turned down quite a few males that desire her as their mate. She is waiting for the 'right wolf'.
Belongings: Airborne Magic keeps a small wolf stuffed animal in her den. It is from her puppy-hood.
History: Airborne Magic was born into the New York zoo. Her mother rejected the tiny pup and the zoo gave her to someone who claimed to be a 'expert zoologist'. The cruel man gave the tiny puppy to his niece. Airborne Magic was expected to sit in a kennel all day and eat the kibble that was thrown inside. Dirty ground water was there to quench her thirst. She knew no other life and thought that this was her only option. She later found that she was wrong. Summer rolled around and the girl took the pup out to play. Instinct kicked in and Airborne Magic wrestled roughly with this girl. The father took yanked the pup up by the scruff of it's tiny neck and threw it into the kennel. The next day, she was taken to the refuge. She had learned to fear humans and when they took her out to radio collar her they accidentally poked her in the eye. She was blinded permanently. They had to poke her with a shiny metal thing that brought pain. When she wok there was a heavy thing around her neck. She found Breaker and was quick to join him on his quest for justice.
Family and Relationships: Airborne Magic never knew her mother and father. She was an only pup too. Her pack is her family and she would die for them.
Part 2: Writing Sample
Writing Sample: Airborne grimaced as the crunch of snow broke the silence of the cedar forest. The squirrel that she had been stalking came to it's senses and darted up a tree. A tiny snarl escaped her Airborne Magic's throat. She had been hunting for hours with no luck. Of course hunting wasn't exactly luck...it took pure knowledge and skill. The large fae sat down on the frozen ground. A quick chill dashed up her spine as her rump made contact with the snow. She hated the wet. It made life miserable.
Airborne licked her right front paw. She should really get back to hunting. Winter bought hunger to her pack and everyone had to be fed. She stood back up with a sigh. The sun was setting just behind Grandfather Mountain. It was a good time of day for fishing. Airborne Magic set off towards the river in a steady trot. The sleek wolf was panting by the time she arrived at the river. Lowering her head she took in gulp after gulp of icy water. She rose her head in surprise. Right beneath her was a good size fish. Before it could escape she bit down. The fish went motionless and headed back to camp. She was quite hungry herself but pack members came first.
Airborne Magic's nostrils twitched. Towards the west came Breaker's scent. She stopped in mid step. Should she bring it to Breaker or see if the others were in need of supper. Her eagerness to please won her over. She turned west to bring the fish to Breaker. She couldn't help but smile as she followed her leader's scent trail into the dense underbrush.
